In honor of the season 3 finale, I would like to give props to the Starz series ‘Power’ for not only displaying great work from the writers to the actors, but to the great music that has been included. This show has some of the best music direction I’ve heard in a series in a long time. The Starz series has featured music from the known to the unknown, and has been rushing people in droves to iTunes, Tidal, and Spotify to hear the songs featured in the series. There is really great directing, writing, and acting in ‘Power’ and the music is almost like a character to the storyline, and sometimes acts as the glue to seamlessly paste scenes together. The music has helped convey emotions and push the storyline forward, without taking away from the actors in the scenes. The show has brought attention to some artists that people didn’t seem to know about, before hearing a song on the show. It has been a great vehicle for the actors to display their talents as well as artists music who get featured in series. With the show wrapping up its 3rd season, it has yet to disappoint on any level from writing, acting and soundtrack so it’s not hard to see why they got the quick renewal for seasons 4 and 5. Can’t wait to see what the finale and future seasons bring.

The series is about a man, James “Ghost” St. Patrick, struggling between the two lives he leads. To his first love Angela Valdes, kids and the outside world, he is a nightclub owner and businessman. On the other hand, to his wife Tasha St. Patrick, best friend Tommy Egan, and the underworld, he is top drug kingpin that goes by the name Ghost. The problem is that James has to choose between continuing to live his life as the drug kingpin Ghost, like his wife and best friend would like him to remain, or clean up his life to fully go legit and reunite with his first love. The series features an amazing cast with Omari Hardwick, Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton, and Joseph Sikora. It also is executive produced by Courtney Kemp (Creator) and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson
